Guide To The Other Media Students

Hey, there media followers,  Today I am comparing my blog to the blog of other students taking this media studies class.  I would like to say that I really love Nicole Lastra's Gossip Girl-themed blog. It was my favorite blog since Gossip Girl is one of my favorite drama tv series. Her blog started out with a reverbed intro to the gossip girl introduction which forces you to read in the voice of Gossip Girl herself. The background, the color scheme, and the font of her blog also set the theme. Her videos were very nice and interesting. They each were detailed and explained the type of shot clearly. My favorite shot was the Point of View Shot which showed a student running away as if being chased by someone/something. The voice of the student breathing adds a sense of horror to the shot. You can also her turn while she is running which conveys that the student is sincerely scared.

Guide To Camera Angles

Hey Medias t udiers, l ast class period my class and I went outside to film different shots of our choosing. To be honest, I wasn't as excited as my classmates. We were told to select 5 shots from our notes and take 5-10 videos of each. We paired up and started the assignment. As I began, it was more fun than I thought it would be. Below are the shots I took and a description of each.   Extreme Wide Shot The actor is filmed from such a distance that the audience is unable to see him. The context of an extremely wide shot, on the other hand, may indicate that the character(s) are present in the scene. As establishing shots(which is the initial shot of a new scene, intended to show the audience where the action is happening), extreme wide shots are frequently used. Aerial Shot/ Bird's Eye Refers to a shot that is taken from above and looks down on the subject. This shot can be employed to provide an overall establishing shot of a scene or to emphasize the subjects' diminutiv...

About Me

Hello, mediastudiers.  My name is Rohalia Johnson and I'm a senior at Everglades High School. I was born in November of 2004 which makes me a 16-year-old senior. I am very passionate about healthcare and I’m considering a career in nursing. I would really like to attend the University of Florida when I graduate in May of 2022. For leisure, I love to watch tv on streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. Some of my favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, and the 100. This year, academically, I like most of my classes but o ut of all the classes I have, this is by far the most interesting one. In this class, we get to see how movies were made by studying certain angles, movements, etc.  I also like sports. Mostly volleyball because it is the sport I've been playing since I was 13 years old. My base position is middle but I also played outside or right side when needed. I am on the EHS varsity volleyball team this year. Even though I had a late start as op...
