Guide To Main Character Analysis

Image
Explanation of the main characters: describe their physical characteristics, costuming, and props associated with them. Describe who they are in terms of their personality and communication style. Explain their mental state, their motivations, psychological state, etc.  Hi Mediastudiers, it's been a while since I've blogged. Today I will be blogging about the main characters of my film, Elaine Summers and Mr. Jacobs.  I recently decided to actually give The Girl Being Stalked a name. I decided to name her Elaine after the current fastest woman in the world, Elaine Thompson-Herah. Elaine grew up watching the Olympics on her television every 4 years and whenever they would stream college track meets. She had found her passion at a very young age and aspired to be an Olympian representing the United States. She competed in many track meets inside and outside of school to better herself. She can be described as fun, bubbly, and goofy. She is also a very friendly person who ...

Guide To Costuming

Image
Hi, Media studiers. Twice in one week, wow. Today we'll be covering costuming. I will be describing the clothing worn by my characters. Since there are only two characters in my film, it will not be a very lengthy post. I will try my best to give a very detailed description of the costumes worn but as there are only 2 characters there won't be much to blog about.  Ok down to the nitty-gritty. The Girl Across the Street The costuming for the girl will be active clothing. In the film, she will be watched by the stalker while she is going for her run in the morning and later in the evening. I had the idea for her (me) to wear simple black leggings, an orange-red pullover, and black and white running shoes. The girl's hair will be curly and in a secured ponytail. For accessories, she will be wearing an Apple Watch to track her heart rate and miles run. She will also wear both her headphones which she uses to listen to...

Guide To Preparing to Film

Image
Hi mediastudiers, welcome back to my blog. Today, we will be going over the preparations for my opening film. My planning has been difficult: trying to figure out how I wanted to do my project, where my project will take place, who will be in my film, and such. Over time, I figured out a way to work everything out in a way that works for me and makes sense. Here's a brief breaking down of each section. Actors The actors in my film will only include 2 people: the stalker and the girl he stalks. The actors were not hard to find as I decided to use my brother as the stalker and I would play the role of the girl. Choosing the characters wasn't very difficult and was probably the easiest part of preparing to film my opening scene. Costumes The costumes for my scene are fairly simple. The stalker will be wearing all black to fit the stereotype of what a stalker would wear. The girl would wear an athletic outfit as everyday wear.  Props The only prop that will be used in the film i...

Guide to Storyboarding

Image
Write a blog post where you explain what you've learned about storyboarding, what you think is important about storyboarding and some of the challenges of storyboarding. In the post, link to the movie clip you chose and upload the completed storyboard. You can either post the pictures individually or you can use a storyboarding app (like Studio Binder) to upload the complete assignment.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3sH0RqVPhg&list=PL86SiVwkw_ocIOVXvXd-vP0dwtp2y54Mr&index=5 Storyboard: Crazy Rich Asians Storyboarding, in general, is one of the most difficult skills I've learned in this class. I never had a skill for drawing.
