Guide To Main Character Analysis

 Explanation of the main characters: describe their physical characteristics, costuming, and props associated with them. Describe who they are in terms of their personality and communication style. Explain their mental state, their motivations, psychological state, etc. 

Hi Mediastudiers, it's been a while since I've blogged. Today I will be blogging about the main characters of my film, Elaine Summers and Mr. Jacobs. 

I recently decided to actually give The Girl Being Stalked a name. I decided to name her Elaine after the current fastest woman in the world, Elaine Thompson-Herah. Elaine grew up watching the Olympics on her television every 4 years and whenever they would stream college track meets. She had found her passion at a very young age and aspired to be an Olympian representing the United States. She competed in many track meets inside and outside of school to better herself. She can be described as fun, bubbly, and goofy. She is also a very friendly person who always plays with and babysits the children in her community and is like a big sister to them. This is how she met her stalker, otherwise known as Mr. Jacobs, from next door. She normally visited his daughter on the weekends as she was closer with her than the other kids. Mr. Jacobs developed an inappropriate liking for Elaine.

Mr. Jacobs, otherwise known as the stalker, is the other main character of the film. He was also recently given a name. He is the young father of Sara Jacobs, the little girl Elaine babysits and sees as a little sister. His wife died postpartum due to cardiomyopathy, which is a disease that causes your heart to weaken and he was left to raise his daughter himself. Mr. Jacobs can be described as an intelligent, young man who developed depression after his wife. He never dated the first 7 years of Sara's life until he decided that his daughter needed a female influence in her life. He dated and dated but had no luck. When he would go on dates, he would ask Elaine to babysit and that is how they met. After every unsuccessful date, Mr. Jacobs would come home sad and Elaine would talk to him, somewhat console him by saying "hopefully you'll do better next time". He developed such an infatuation with her, he stopped dating. He regularly invited her over to play with his daughter then the obsession began.
